  • small bowl
  • large mixing bowl

Ingredients

For the Zesty Shrimp:

  • 1 lb fresh or frozen shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder for extra zest
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the Tangy Caesar Dressing:

  • ½ cup store-bought creamy Caesar dressing
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp Dijon mustard

For the Fresh Salad Base:

  • 1 large head crisp romaine lettuce chopped
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese shredded or shaved
  • ½ cup seasoned croutons
  • ¼ cup finely diced red onion optional, for extra crunch

For the Wraps:

  • 6 large flour tortillas or whole wheat wraps

Instructions

Prepare the Zesty Shrimp

  • Thaw and pat dry frozen shrimp. In a medium bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper; toss until evenly coated.

Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Create the Tangy Caesar Dressing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together store-bought Caesar dressing, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.

Assemble the Salad Base

  • Wash and chop romaine lettuce. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce with tangy Caesar dressing and half of the Parmesan cheese; toss gently until evenly coated. Add diced red onion if using, and croutons just before assembling.

Warm the Tortillas

  • Briefly warm tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 15-20 seconds per side, or microwave until warm and flexible, to prevent tearing when rolling.

Assemble the Zesty Shrimp Caesar Salad Wraps

  • Lay a warmed tortilla flat. Spoon a generous amount of Caesar salad mixture onto the center, leaving an inch of space around the edges. Arrange cooked shrimp on top.

Add Shrimp and Roll

  • Fold in opposing sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom edge to form a compact wrap.

Serve

  • Serve Zesty Shrimp Caesar Salad Wraps immediately, optionally cut in half diagonally for easier eating.

Notes

For a spicier kick, increase the amount of chili powder or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning. You can also grill the shrimp instead of pan-frying for a smoky flavor. If preparing ahead, keep the salad mixture and shrimp separate and assemble just before serving to prevent the wraps from getting soggy and the croutons from losing their crispness. Leftover wraps can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, but are best enjoyed fresh.
