Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon dried herbs oregano, dill, or chives

Instructions

Preparation

  • Drain the cottage cheese in a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or paper towels for at least 30 minutes, pressing gently to remove excess liquid.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Making the Chips

  • Transfer the drained cottage cheese to a bowl, add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and optional dried herbs, then mix well.
  • Spoon small dollops onto the prepared baking sheet and spread each into a thin, even layer (1/16 to 1/8 inch thick), leaving space between chips.

Baking and Cooling

  • Bake for 25-35 minutes until golden brown and firm, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Remove from the oven and cool completely on the parchment paper; they will crisp up as they cool, then gently peel them off.

Notes

Ensure the cottage cheese is well-drained for crispier chips. Experiment with different dried herbs to find your favorite flavor combination.
