Meat Lovers Pizza Tacos

These Meat Lovers Pizza Tacos combine the best of both worlds with savory Italian sausage, pepperoni, marinara, and mozzarella cheese all wrapped in a crispy tortilla.

Ingredients
  

Meat Mixture

  • 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage mild or spicy
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni Slices mini pepperoni recommended
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste

Taco Assembly

  • 1.5 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 8 Flour Tortillas 6-inch, soft taco size

Instructions
 

Prepare the Meat Mixture

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground Italian sausage over medium-high heat, then drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes; cook for one minute until fragrant. Add marinara sauce and half the pepperoni slices, then simmer gently.

Assemble the Tacos

  • Brush both sides of each flour tortilla with olive oil.
  • Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each tortilla, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and top with remaining pepperoni slices.
  • Fold the tortilla over the filling to create a flat taco shape.

Cook the Tacos

  • To bake, place assembled tacos on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and tortillas are golden.
  • To air fry, place 2-3 tacos in the basket and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 5-8 minutes until crispy and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch more red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. These tacos are best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer for best results.
