  • 6 oz Salmon fillets each, skin-on or skin-off, wild-caught preferred
  • Dijon mustard tangy, slightly spicy kick
  • Honey sweetens the glaze
  • Olive oil to thin glaze and moisturize salmon
  • Garlic freshly minced
  • Lemon juice brightens and adds zest
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish and freshness

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or foil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.

Cooking

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spoon or brush a generous amount of the honey mustard glaze over each salmon fillet.
  • Bake for 12-18 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Optionally, broil for the last 1-2 minutes for a caramelized top, carefully monitoring to prevent burning.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley or dill, if desired, and serve immediately.

For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon. Adjust the amount of honey and Dijon mustard to your taste preference.
