Equipment

  • 12-cup muffin tin
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk

Ingredients

Cookie Cups

  • 1 package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk

Decorations

  • 10 OREO cookies, crushed
  • 12 gummy worms
  • 6 Milano cookies
  • 1 tube Black icing gel

Instructions

Cookie Cups

  • Press the cookie dough into a 12-cup muffin tin, shaping each into a cup. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown, then let cool completely.
  • While cookie cups cool, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions, whisking with milk until thickened, then chill for 5 minutes.

Assembly

  • Fill each cooled cookie cup with chocolate pudding. Sprinkle crushed OREO cookies over the pudding to resemble dirt.
  • Insert two Milano cookies into each cup for tombstones and place gummy worms creatively on top, arranging some so they appear to be crawling out of the "dirt".
  • Use black icing gel to write "RIP" or other spooky messages on the Milano cookie tombstones, then serve immediately or chill until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can add a few drops of green food coloring to the vanilla pudding for a "slime" effect, or sprinkle some candy corn around the base of the tombstones for added color. These cookie cups are also great for parties and can be made ahead of time; just add the gummy worms and tombstone decorations right before serving to keep them fresh and spooky looking.
