  • Meat thermometer
  • Cutting board
  • Foil

Ingredients

Turkey Breast

  • 1 Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast (5-6 lb)

Herb Mixture

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Salt (or to taste)

For Roasting

  • 1 Lemon thinly sliced (optional)
  • 0.5 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.

Seasoning

  • Combine olive oil, rosemary, thyme, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl, then mix thoroughly.

Roasting

  • Rub the herb mixture generously all over the turkey breast; tuck lemon slices underneath if desired.
  • Place the seasoned turkey in a shallow roasting pan and pour the broth into the pan.
  • Roast for 60-90 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), basting occasionally.

Finish & Serve

  • Remove the turkey from the oven, transfer to a cutting board, and tent loosely with foil to rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Slice the turkey breast against the grain, arrange on a platter, and serve with garnishes.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the turkey breast with the herb mixture for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Ensure your meat thermometer is accurate for safe cooking. The lemon slices add a nice citrusy aroma and can be omitted if preferred. Adjust salt and pepper to your taste preferences. Remember to slice against the grain for the most tender turkey.
