Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Paper towels
  • Large non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan

Ingredients

Main

  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillets skin-on or off, 4-ounce portions
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley or Green Onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined. Set aside.
  • Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy or a crust forms.
  • Carefully flip the salmon, reduce heat to medium, and pour the honey garlic sauce over the fillets. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, basting frequently, until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily; the sauce should be thick and glossy.

Serving

  • Remove from heat, transfer salmon to plates, and spoon any remaining sauce over the fillets. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions, if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure your salmon fillets are completely dry before searing to achieve crispy skin. Adjust honey and soy sauce quantities to your preference.
