Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts Thighs provide a juicier result but breasts work well too.
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth Ensure it's gluten-free if needed.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust for sweetness to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving

  • Cooked rice or noodles Use as a base for serving.
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken in the crockpot.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, chicken broth, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Shred the chicken in the sauce before serving.

Serving

  • Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a container for up to 3 months. For variations, consider using sweet and sour sauce or add more vegetables in the crockpot.
