  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets blanched
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 cups cooked egg noodles slightly al dente

Topping

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Assembly

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Add the shredded chicken, blanched broccoli florets, and cooked egg noodles to the creamy mixture; stir until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly, then sprinkle 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.

Topping and Bake

  • In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the cheese layer.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes
