  • 1 cup Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup optional, for body
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper optional, for heat

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together all ingredients: yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if desired).
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar and prevent sticking.
  • Once simmering, reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly. Remove from heat and let cool before serving or storing, as it will thicken further as it cools.

Notes

This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Adjust cayenne pepper to your desired spice level.
