  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Cooking Steps

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium, melt butter in the skillet, and cook minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over it, and simmer for 2-3 minutes to warm through and absorb flavor.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the garlic, as it can turn bitter. Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your taste preference.
