  • 1 to 1.5 pounds salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Seasoning and Baking

  • Whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried dill, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Drizzle the seasoning mixture over the salmon, ensuring it's evenly coated, and add lemon slices or juice.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Resting and Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or lemon wedges if desired, and serve immediately.

The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Use a meat thermometer for accurate results.
