  • 2-3 tablespoons butter softened

Preparation

  • Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes from bread slices, needing two hearts per sandwich.

Assembly

  • Lightly butter one side of each bread heart for crispiness.
  • Place butter-side down bread hearts on a surface, top with cheese, then add another bread heart, butter-side up.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat to ensure even cooking without burning.
  • Cook assembled grilled cheese hearts for 2-4 minutes per side until golden brown, crispy, and the cheese is melted and gooey.

Serving

  • Remove from pan, let cool briefly to prevent burns, then serve warm.
