  • 10 ounce package frozen cut green beans thawed and well-drained
  • 10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup French fried onions divided

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, egg, garlic powder, and black pepper; mix well.
  • Gently fold half a cup of French fried onions into the green bean mixture.
  • Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each nearly to the top.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions over each bite, and return to oven for 3-5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Let cool in the muffin tin for about 5 minutes before gently removing and serving warm on a platter.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can add a pinch of dried thyme or onion powder to the mixture before baking. These bites are great for holiday gatherings or as a fun snack!
