  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 6-8 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large lemon half for juice and half for wedges
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper or to taste

  • Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with paper towels and season them with salt and pepper.
  • Melt the butter in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the melted butter; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high, add the shrimp in a single layer, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Remove the skillet from heat, squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp, and stir in the fresh chopped parsley.
  • Serve the shrimp immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the shrimp, as they can become tough quickly. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
