Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillets skin-on or skin-off, about 1-inch thick
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter divided
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Lemon half for juice, half for wedges for serving

Instructions

Cooking Steps

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry and season generously with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down for 4-6 minutes until crispy.
  • Flip the salmon and cook on the other side for 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant for 30-60 seconds.
  • Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the salmon and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove from heat, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon, and sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is oven-safe if you plan to finish the salmon in the oven for thicker fillets. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
