These classic cream cheese sausage balls are incredibly easy to make and are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a party appetizer. With savory sausage and a hint of cream cheese, they're a crowd-pleasing bite!

Ingredients
  

Sausage Ball Mixture

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage (mild, hot, or sage-flavored)
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • If needed, microwave the cream cheese for 15-20 seconds to soften it.

Mixing and Forming

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly until well combined with no streaks.
  • Roll 1-inch portions of the mixture into uniform balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking and Serving

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 160°F/71°C).
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

These sausage balls are great for meal prepping; make a big batch and freeze them for a quick breakfast or snack later.
