  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 90/10 lean)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic minced
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup (10.75 oz)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz), undrained
  • 1 can corn (15 oz), drained
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni cooked al dente
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then drain any excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion to the beef and cook until softened, then stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the mushroom soup, chicken soup, milk, and sour cream until smooth. Stir in diced tomatoes, corn, cooked macaroni, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning.
  • Combine the cooked beef and onion mixture with the sauce, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, and let it set for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef mixture. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
