  • Freezer-safe container or bag

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey adjust to taste, optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • parchment paper
  • baking sheet

Instructions

Blueberry Swirl

  • In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, maple syrup (if using), and a splash of water, then cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until berries burst and form a slightly thick compote.
  • Mash some of the berries for a smoother swirl, then remove from heat and let cool completely.

Combine Yogurt

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract (if using) until the mixture is smooth.

Swirl It Up

  • Pour the cooled blueberry compote gently over the yogurt, then use a spoon or knife to create swirls, being careful not to fully mix it in to maintain distinct streaks.

Form the Bites

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then drop spoonfuls of the swirled yogurt mixture onto the paper, forming small, bite-sized dollops.

Freeze and Store

  • Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours until the yogurt bites are completely solid.
  • Once frozen, carefully peel the bites off the parchment paper and transfer them to an airtight freezer-safe container or bag for storage.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use full-fat Greek yogurt. Adjust the sweetness of the compote to your liking. These yogurt bites are best enjoyed frozen and can be stored in the freezer for up to 2-3 weeks.
