Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) 80/20 lean ground beef
  • 4-6 large flour tortillas
  • 4-6 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
  • 1/4 cup finely diced white or yellow onion

For the Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, vinegar, and sugar in a small bowl until well combined. Adjust seasonings to taste and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until fully browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Warm tortillas briefly in a dry skillet, microwave for 15-20 seconds, or wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave to make them pliable.

Assembly

  • Lay a warm tortilla flat and spread a generous tablespoon or two of special sauce down the center.
  • Add a portion of cooked ground beef over the sauce, then top with shredded lettuce, dill pickle slices, and a sprinkle of diced onion.
  • Place a half or full slice of American cheese over the toppings; the residual heat from the beef will slightly melt it.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it up from the bottom to create a secure wrap.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients and serve immediately.

Notes

For a healthier option, use leaner ground beef or ground turkey. You can also customize the fillings with your favorite vegetables or a different type of cheese.
