  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 teaspoon)

  • Ensure your unsalted butter is at room temperature for a smooth mixture, gently microwaving for 10-15 seconds if needed, but do not melt completely.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, thyme, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Vigorously mix all ingredients with a fork or small whisk until well combined and the butter is infused with all the flavors.
  • Serve immediately at room temperature as a dipping sauce, or warm gently in a small saucepan or microwave for 15-20 seconds for a pourable, melted sauce.

Notes

For an extra kick, feel free to add a pinch more cayenne pepper. This sauce is incredibly versatile and pairs well with steak, chicken, seafood, or even crusty bread.
