Spooky spider web dip, a creamy and savory Halloween appetizer, perfect for any ghoulish gathering. Easy to make and fun to decorate!

  • Total Time: 00:15
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 (4.25 oz) can black olives, finely chopped

Paprika, for garnish

Pretzels or crackers, for serving

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Beat until smooth.

2. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto a serving plate, forming a flat circle.

3. Sprinkle the finely chopped black olives around the outer edge of the dip to create the “spider” body.

4. Place a whole black olive in the center to represent the spider’s head.

5. Spoon some sour cream into a piping bag (or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped). Pipe concentric circles over the dip.

6. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward through the circles to create a spider web pattern.

7. Garnish with a light sprinkle of paprika for color.

8. Serve immediately with pretzels or crackers as a delicious Halloween appetizer!

Notes

For an extra spooky touch, add small plastic spiders around the serving dish (clearly decorative—do not eat).

This dip can be made ahead; add the web decoration just before serving to keep it looking fresh.

Adjust spices to your preference. A pinch of cayenne can add a kick—great for Halloween appetizers.
